For nearly three decades, Tiffani Dhooge has built a career around one particularly inconvenient question: Why does it have to be this way?

That question has followed her from an entry level job transporting children in foster care to the executive office of a multimillion-dollar nonprofit organization. Her work has always centered on young people whose lives were shaped by circumstances they didn't choose. She built one of South Florida's largest foster care programs, was recognized nationally with a Congressional Award, and ultimately became President and CEO of Children's Harbor, where she spent nearly a decade leading the organization's transformation into a continuum of care focused exclusively on teenagers in and aging out of foster care.

And now, she's walking away from a career she has spent most of her adult life building (which raises an entirely different set of questions).

Through The Daily Drip and The Dhooge Den on Substack, she writes about the complicated, uncomfortable, and occasionally ridiculous parts of the lives we've built, and the things we discover when we're willing to question our own assumptions as readily as everyone else's.

She doesn't claim to have all the answers.

She does, however, have opinions.
