Armed with an unyielding commitment to the power of collaboration, I have championed the cause of at-risk populations in Broward County for more than 20 years. My tenure as a nonprofit executive has always reflected a commitment that extends beyond professional responsibility. In every endeavor, I strive to bridge gaps. Every decision, strategy, and initiative I lead is driven by my passion for creating meaningful change for those who have been left behind.

As President and CEO of Children’s Harbor, I guide a nationally recognized child welfare organization with a singular, unwavering focus: empowering teens in foster care to overcome the trauma they have experienced so they can lead healthy, productive lives.

My journey in human services began 23 years ago in the transportation unit of a local foster care agency. That entry-level role gave me a ground-level perspective of the needs and challenges faced by the individuals I served. As I progressed through the ranks, that foundational experience shaped the empathy and understanding I carry with me every day.

In 2003, I was entrusted with launching a foster care program for Kids In Distress. Over the next nine years, I expanded the program into the region’s largest and most comprehensive initiative, setting a benchmark for excellence in the field. In 2012, my contributions to foster care and adoption were recognized nationally when I received the Congressional Angels in Adoption Award in Washington, D.C.

In 2018, I began a new chapter by accepting the role of President and CEO of Children’s Harbor during a pivotal period of transformation. Under my leadership, the organization evolved into a community-based system of care with an exclusive focus on teenagers. Through programs centered on life skills, education, mental health support, and more, Children’s Harbor has become a place where teens in foster care can heal, grow, and build the resilience needed to become self-reliant, productive adults.

Throughout my career in the nonprofit sector, I have remained deeply committed to creating lasting change in the lives of those who have been marginalized by society. My drive to challenge the status quo and embrace what others believe is impossible comes from my conviction that true impact cannot be measured by statistics alone—it is measured in moments. Every story rewritten reinforces my belief that meaningful change is deeply personal and only happens through genuine human connection, one heartbeat at a time.
